7^TH CGC WINONA REUNION, SEPT. 18, 19 & 20, 2009

ACCOMMODATIONS: It will be up to the individuals who plan to attend to make their own reservations at Motels, RV Parks, etc.. The Reunion time is in the height of the peak tourist season. Room Rates will be at their peak & rooms will be filled up everynight during this time. You need to make your room reservations NOW or ASAP, to make sure you get a room.

Here are the best possible locations (close to the Elks) to get a room.

We have signed contracts with, the RED LION Hotel, and the QUALITY INN UPTOWN. They will hold 20 rooms each (more if needed) at the rates stated below. You will get these rates for the dates of the Reunion, & they have agreed to extend these rates for days before & after the Reunion dates, if you want to come early or stay after the Reunion.

These rates are based on double occupancy . They will give you these rates if you reserve before

AUGUST 18, 2009, which is their cut off date. If these rooms are not reserved before this date, all rooms will be released for general sale at the higher rates. If you want to reserve a room & get these special rates, you will have to call the local Telephone numbers, listed below, and make sure you tell them that you are with the COAST GUARD CUTTER WINONA. By calling & reserving early, it gives us a better chance of blocking off additional rooms for other shipmates to get this same rate.

(Note: A 10.4% Lodging tax is not included in these Rates.)

QUALITY INN UPTOWN (E. 2nd ST.) Tel# (360)457-9434 (One block from Elks Lodge)

Our rates at the Quality Inn Uptown are $108 to $119 per Night. They are holding 20 rooms so reserve early if you want to stay here.

The RED LION Hotel (On the Waterfront) Tel# (360)452-9215 (One block from the Elks Lodge)

Our rates at the Red Lion are: $102/night for Non View room and $122/night for a Water View room.

Another motel in the downtown area (One block from the Elks Lodge)

PORT ANGELES INN (E. 2nd ST.) Tel# (360)452-9285, (no group rates available).

The Port Angeles Inn will not Block off rooms for us because they only have 24 rooms. They will hold a room, for you, if you call and reserve a room with a credit card. Their rates are: $89.95/night for a Non Harbor View room and $120/night for a Harbor View room.

These are located on HWY 101 just as you come into Port Angeles from the east. You will need a ride to get to the Elks Lodge from these Motels. (No group rates available for these Motels).

I will stress this point again: If your are attending the Reunion, MAKE YOUR MOTEL & ETC. RESERVATIONS NOW. These places are already starting to get requests for rooms for this time of the year.
